Richie first started taking photographs as a young teen on Oahu, developing film and prints at her high school darkroom in Ewa Beach. Now the craft she practices goes beyond producing imagery.
By connecting personally with her subjects, she coaxes reluctance into an easy openness. This intangible skill becomes tangible by making people feel comfortable being their natural and authentic selves.
Richie’s creative focus for the last five years have centered around themes of self-care, preservation, introspection, and vulnerability. Each of these themes resonate with the people most in need of receiving them.
